About Me

I’m a young (21) wife and new mommy. I married my childhood crush and the most wonderful man named Landon on December 4, 2010.

We have a precious baby boy named Emerson who was born on January 13, 2012. I experienced Hyperemesis (extreme morning sickness) throughout my entire pregnancy and instead of loving my bump, getting the pregnancy glow and preparing for baby, I spent the entire time violently vomiting and dealing with Home Health Care, IV’s, PICC lines and medications. It was a horrible experience but my little guy is worth it all and it shaped me to who I am today and now lets me help other woman with HG.

I kinda consider myself a “birth junkie” and love anything birth related and will be completing the classes to become a Doula and join my mom attending births and helping woman have the birth of their dreams. I also plan to go to school to become an RN and hope to work in L&D then complete school to become a midwife after we are done having babies.

I’m a total advocate for breastfeeding, babywearing and attachment parenting. I’m also really obsessed with cloth diapers and absolutely adore ours (who knew you could love diapers?!?). I’m learning more about organic eating and natural hygiene and cleaning supplies right now and doing my best to “make the switch”.

I’m the oldest of 7 kids and grew up in super loving, supportive and totally insane Christian family and we were all home schooled. My family means the world to me and we are so happy to have started our own little family and grow and raise our own children.

My hobbies include spending time with my family, going out on dates with my hubby, getting to spend everyday at home with Emerson, taking family walks in the evening with our little family and dog Frank, reading, research on topics I love, scrapbooking, card making, listening to music (mostly Country), doing Yoga and Pilates, swimming, volunteering and of course shopping. 🙂
